Rhododendron ‘Cunninghams White’

Rhododendron ‘Cunningham’s White’ is a robust, reliable evergreen shrub valued for its dark green foliage and abundant display of white spring flowers. It is an excellent choice for woodland-style gardens, mixed borders, screening and specimen planting.

It develops a strong, bushy habit and can reach approximately 2.2 metres in height, with attractive dark green evergreen leaves providing year-round colour and structure.

In late spring, loose trusses of elegant, funnel-shaped white flowers appear, opening from distinctive mauve-coloured buds. The contrast between the darker buds and bright white flowers creates an attractive and eye-catching display.

Its robust growth and evergreen foliage make ‘Cunningham’s White’ useful as a feature shrub, informal screen or backdrop to other acid-loving plants.

Plant in partial shade in moist, well-drained, acidic soil. Rhododendrons require acidic conditions to thrive and should not be planted in alkaline or lime-rich soils.

With its reliable growth, glossy evergreen foliage and abundant white spring flowers, Rhododendron ‘Cunningham’s White’ is a popular choice for adding year-round structure and spring colour to an acid-loving garden.
