Rhododendron ‘Cosmopolitan’

Rhododendron ‘Cosmopolitan’ is a compact, medium-sized evergreen shrub valued for its attractive glossy foliage and beautiful spring flowers. It is an excellent choice for woodland-style gardens, mixed borders, containers and specimen planting.

It develops a neat, bushy habit with long, narrow, glossy dark green leaves that provide year-round colour and structure.

In mid spring, rounded trusses of pale pink flowers appear, each with distinctive deep red markings that gradually become paler as the flowers mature. The abundant blooms create a soft and elegant display against the dark evergreen foliage.

‘Cosmopolitan’ is relatively compact, making it suitable for a range of garden settings where an evergreen flowering shrub is required. It works particularly well planted alongside other acid-loving plants such as Azaleas, Pieris and other Rhododendrons.

Plant in partial shade in moist, well-drained, acidic soil. Avoid alkaline or lime-rich soils, as Rhododendrons require acidic conditions to thrive.

With its evergreen foliage and attractive pink spring flowers, Rhododendron ‘Cosmopolitan’ is a lovely choice for adding colour, structure and seasonal interest to an acid-loving garden.
