Camellia ‘Bonomiana Roze’

Camellia ‘Bonomiana Roze’ is a medium-sized, upright evergreen flowering shrub grown for its large, formal double flowers and glossy evergreen foliage. It is an excellent choice for woodland gardens, sheltered borders, cottage gardens and containers.

The plant forms an upright, bushy shape with attractive dark green, glossy leaves that provide year-round structure and colour. Its main feature is its impressive flowers, which can reach around 10cm across. The petals range from white to pale pink, with irregular darker pink streaks creating an attractive variegated effect.

Growing to approximately 2–3 metres in height and spread, ‘Bonomiana Roze’ works well as a feature shrub or specimen plant, providing a strong focal point in a mixed border. It can also be planted alongside other acid-loving shrubs to create a colourful woodland-style display.

Plant in partial shade or dappled shade in moist, well-drained, acidic soil. Choose a sheltered position protected from strong winds and harsh morning sun.

Its combination of evergreen foliage and large, intricately marked double flowers makes ‘Bonomiana Roze’ a particularly attractive choice for adding structure and seasonal interest to the garden.
