Camellia ‘Mary Williams’ is a vigorous, compact and upright evergreen flowering shrub, grown for its large, elegant rose-pink flowers and glossy evergreen foliage. It is an excellent choice for sheltered borders, woodland gardens, cottage gardens and containers.
The plant forms a neat, upright shape with dark green, glossy leaves that provide year-round structure and colour. In spring, it produces large single, rose-pink flowers, with open petals surrounding prominent golden stamens for a natural, elegant appearance.
Growing to approximately 2–3 metres in height and spread, ‘Mary Williams’ works well as a feature or specimen shrub in a mixed border, while its upright habit makes it useful where space is more limited.
Plant in partial shade or dappled shade in moist, well-drained, acidic soil. Camellias prefer a sheltered position protected from strong winds and harsh morning sun.
Its combination of evergreen foliage and large, open pink flowers makes ‘Mary Williams’ a beautiful choice for adding year-round structure and spring colour to the garden.
