A slow-growing evergreen shrub up to 2m high, with a rounded habit, and dark green leaves with fine white or grey felting underneath. Produces spectacular clusters of 3-5 bell-shaped flowers, in shades of gold and orange and often flushed pink or red at the edges, from late spring to early summer. Rhododendrons require an acidic nature. For best results, use Ericaceous compost.
