Camellia ‘Brushfield’s Yellow’ is an elegant, upright evergreen flowering shrub prized for its glossy foliage and distinctive creamy-white flowers with soft yellow centres. It is an excellent choice for woodland gardens, sheltered borders, cottage gardens and containers.
The plant forms an upright, bushy shape with dark, glossy green leaves that provide year-round structure and colour. In spring, it produces attractive anemone-form double flowers, with creamy-white outer petals surrounding a centre that shades into a soft, pale yellow.
Growing to approximately 2–3 metres in height and spread, ‘Brushfield’s Yellow’ works particularly well as a feature shrub or specimen plant in a mixed border. Its upright habit also makes it useful where height and structure are required without an excessively spreading plant.
Plant in partial shade or dappled shade in moist, well-drained, acidic soil. Camellias prefer a sheltered position protected from strong winds and harsh morning sun.
The combination of evergreen glossy foliage and unusual cream and yellow flowers makes ‘Brushfield’s Yellow’ an excellent choice for adding year-round structure and elegant spring colour to the garden.
