Magnolia Grandiflora ‘Bracken’s Brown Beauty’ (Evergreen Magnolia)

Magnolia grandiflora ‘Bracken’s Brown Beauty’ is a magnificent evergreen ornamental tree valued for its glossy foliage and large, fragrant white flowers. It is an excellent choice for large gardens, lawns, specimen planting and feature positions.

This impressive Magnolia develops a naturally conical habit and can eventually reach around 12 metres in height or more. Its large, glossy dark green leaves have a distinctive felty brown underside, providing attractive foliage and structure throughout the year.

From summer through to autumn, it produces large, open, cup-shaped white flowers with a beautiful fragrance. The flowers stand out against the dark evergreen foliage, creating a spectacular display over a long flowering period.

‘Bracken’s Brown Beauty’ is best suited to a larger garden or open space, where it can develop into an impressive specimen tree. Its evergreen foliage also makes it useful for providing year-round screening and structure.

Plant in full sun or partial shade in fertile, moist but well-drained soil. A sheltered position is preferable, particularly when young, to protect the large leaves from strong winds.

With its glossy evergreen foliage, attractive brown leaf undersides and fragrant summer flowers, this is a superb feature tree for larger gardens.
