Acer Campestre ‘Elsrijk’

Acer campestre ‘Elsrijk’ is a medium-sized ornamental and specimen tree, and a popular choice for street planting, avenues and larger gardens. This Dutch selection of Field Maple has a neat, dense, conical crown that gives it a more formal and compact appearance than the species.

The three-lobed green leaves provide an attractive display through spring and summer before turning buttery yellow in autumn, adding strong seasonal colour to the garden.

A mature tree can reach approximately 8–12 metres in height, with a spread of around 4–8 metres, making it best suited to larger gardens, open spaces, avenues and areas where a medium-sized tree has room to develop.

Its naturally neat, upright shape makes it particularly well suited to street trees, avenues and formal planting, while its attractive autumn colour also makes it an excellent specimen tree.
