Cupressocyparis Leylandii (Green Leylandii)

Cupressocyparis leylandii, commonly known as Green Leylandii, is a vigorous, fast-growing evergreen conifer with a dense, upright habit. It is one of the most popular choices for evergreen hedging, privacy screening and windbreaks, particularly where a tall screen is required.

Its dense dark green foliage provides year-round colour and structure, making it ideal for creating a private boundary or screening an unwanted view. When planted as a hedge and regularly trimmed, Leylandii can form a thick, dense screen relatively quickly.

If left untrimmed, Green Leylandii can grow into a very large tree, reaching 20 metres or more, so regular pruning is important when using it as a hedge to maintain the desired height and width.

Plant in full sun or partial shade in well-drained soil. Its vigorous growth makes it particularly useful where a fast-growing evergreen hedge or privacy screen is needed.
