Sorbus ‘Cashmiriana’

Sorbus ‘Cashmiriana’, commonly known as Himalayan Rowan, is an attractive deciduous ornamental tree valued for its elegant foliage, delicate flowers and long-lasting white fruit. It is an excellent choice for lawns, mixed borders, smaller gardens and specimen planting.

The tree produces attractive pinnate leaves made up of up to 19 oblong leaflets, creating a light and airy canopy through spring and summer.

In spring, clusters of dull pink flowers appear amongst the foliage, adding a subtle touch of seasonal colour. These are followed by abundant clusters of white fruits, which are particularly attractive as they remain on the tree for a long period, providing excellent autumn and winter interest.

Its graceful form and attractive fruit make ‘Cashmiriana’ an excellent feature or specimen tree, particularly when planted where the pale berries can be appreciated against darker planting or winter skies.
