Rudbeckia Fulgida ‘ Goldsturm’

Rudbeckia fulgida ‘Goldsturm’, commonly known as Black-Eyed Susan, is a reliable, clump-forming herbaceous perennial valued for its bright golden-yellow flowers and long flowering period. It is an excellent choice for flower borders, cottage gardens, prairie-style planting and wildlife-friendly gardens.

The plant forms a neat clump reaching approximately 60cm in height, with upright stems carrying narrow, ovate green leaves.

From summer into early autumn, the stems are topped with large, deep yellow daisy-like flowers, reaching up to around 12cm across. Each bloom features a distinctive dark central cone, creating a bold contrast and an eye-catching display.

Its upright habit and long-lasting flowers make ‘Goldsturm’ particularly effective towards the middle of a mixed border, where it combines beautifully with ornamental grasses and other late-flowering perennials.

Plant in full sun or partial shade in fertile, well-drained soil. The flowers are highly attractive to bees, butterflies and other pollinating insects, making Rudbeckia ‘Goldsturm’ a valuable addition to a wildlife-friendly garden.

With its vibrant flowers, strong form and reliable flowering performance, ‘Goldsturm’ is a popular choice for adding bright summer and autumn colour to the garden.
