Wisteria Sinensis ‘Alba’

Wisteria sinensis ‘Alba’, commonly known as White Chinese Wisteria, is a vigorous, large deciduous climber valued for its elegant white spring flowers and attractive foliage. It is an excellent choice for walls, pergolas, arches, fences and other sturdy garden structures.

The plant develops strong, twining stems with attractive pinnate green leaves, creating a lush canopy through the growing season.

In spring, before the new leaves emerge, the branches are adorned with short racemes of fragrant, pure white, pea-like flowers. The flowers create a beautiful and elegant display, making ‘Alba’ particularly effective when trained over a pergola or against a wall.

As a vigorous climber, it requires strong support and regular pruning to keep growth under control and encourage flowering.

Plant in full sun in fertile, well-drained soil. With its fragrant white flowers and impressive climbing habit, Wisteria sinensis ‘Alba’ is a beautiful choice for adding height, structure and spring colour to the garden.
