Robinia Pseudoacacia ‘Frisia’

Robinia pseudoacacia ‘Frisia’, commonly known as Golden Locust, is a striking, upright deciduous tree valued for its bright golden-green foliage and elegant form. It is an excellent choice for lawns, larger gardens, avenues and specimen planting.

The tree develops a bushy, upright habit with attractive pinnate leaves that emerge bright greenish-yellow. The foliage becomes increasingly vivid through the summer, providing a strong splash of colour before turning orange-yellow in autumn.

‘Frisia’ is primarily grown for its distinctive foliage and architectural form and seldom flowers freely, making its colourful leaves the main feature of the tree.

Its medium-sized habit and bright foliage make it particularly effective as a feature or specimen tree, where it can provide a striking contrast against darker green planting.

Plant in full sun in fertile, well-drained soil. A hardy and adaptable tree, Robinia ‘Frisia’ is an excellent choice for adding bright foliage colour and seasonal interest to the garden.
